Today is Tuesday 28 April: World Day for Safety and Health at Work.
This year marks Maxicon’s 10th anniversary, and safety has been our top priority from day one. To underline this, Maxicon obtained the VCA** certificate right from the start. This ensured our employees could get to work safely, something that is always our top priority. Today, we have been proudly holding that certificate for ten years.
The VCA** certificate is an official document proving that Maxicon meets the strict requirements regarding safety, health and the environment. It focuses on working safely and healthily in high-risk environments.
What exactly does the VCA** certificate entail?
VCA stands for HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) Checklist for Contractors. It is much more than a simple piece of paper; it is a comprehensive quality system. Among other things, it means that we:
- Manage risks: we identify all potential hazards in the workplace and take measures to prevent accidents.
- Certified staff: our Maxinauts possess the necessary knowledge to act safely in high-risk situations.
- Safe equipment: all our work equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) meet the highest inspection standards.
- Continuous monitoring: every year, we undergo an audit by an external body to ensure we still meet the strict standards.
For us, the VCA** certificate forms the basis of a robust policy. It is proof that our people can work safely every day and return home safe and sound every time. At Maxicon, we consider this to be of the utmost importance.
The expert who oversees all of this is Sven Nisen. He is our Payroll & Safety Manager. Sven ensures that the safety, health and well-being of every employee are safeguarded.
In the years to come, a robust prevention policy with a focus on safety and well-being will remain our most important commitment to our employees and customers.
