Maxicon Genk launches your talent
2018/01/10
Day to day two years ago, Sophie Vangheluwe, who previously worked for Bekaert Technics, founded Maxicon. She moved it into business premises at Roeselaarsestraat in Ardooie in May 2016. After his competition clause expired at the same Bekaert Technics, Emmanuel Bekaert also made the move to Maxicon. "We do technician outsourcing and have clients such as Coca-Cola, Sadef, Volvo, Unilin, Poco Loco,... in our portfolio," Emmanuel Bekaert points out.
As is well known, it is not always easy to find technical staff with the right qualification. "Certainly not when it comes to urgent assignments that are then also of a temporary nature. Our technicians are seasoned in mechanical and electrical maintenance, metalworking and machine installation. They are all skilled and motivated specialists who can be deployed immediately in companies," Emmanuel Bekaert points out.
Sophie Vangheluwe emphasises the importance of these employees. "Employees are the company's capital. We try to deal with them as familially as possible. That good atmosphere, short lines of communication, a sense of home: that makes people feel understood and appreciated." Meanwhile, the company is literally and figuratively bursting at the seams. "We have land along the Rijksweg in Beveren in mind, where we want to plant a new site by 2020," Emmanuel Bekaert adds.
New activities
After technical staff, Maxicon is now also focusing on ICT'ters, retail staff and drone solutions. "In contrast to the simplification they bring, ICT systems are often complex to build.
Installation and maintenance do form an essential part of ease of use. We now also have a team of specialised information and communication technicians." Attention is also focused on retail employees. "The logistical and operational challenges in the retail sector are endless. Replenishment happens at night, replenishment often during the day." Maxicon Retail also offers solutions by using an extensive database of employees to make replenishment happen after closing hours.
Even in the new market of drone solutions, Maxicon is active. "The potential impact that drone technology can have on numerous industries is downright impressive," adds Sophie Vangheluwe. "The entry costs are high for using drone technology, in addition to the strict legislative framework and learning process. Maxicon Drone Solutions has several drone aircraft and licensed drone pilots, each with their own expertise." In addition to Ardooie, Maxicon has another branch in Drongen.
